Vera is a wonderful and talented makeup artist. She will make you look better than you ever have in your whole life. But she is much more than that. Vera is not only gifted in making people look amazing, but she has a gift for making people feel amazing.

I have worked with her three times: my engagement shoot, my bridal shower, and my wedding day. Upon first meeting, I could tell that I would love working with her. She was so professional, but also so friendly. Like your best girlfriend doing your makeup while getting ready for your dream date.

On my wedding day, she was amazing. She not only made me look great, but she made my bridesmaids and my mom shine! I had girls that never wore makeup and girls that were so particular about every single thing and she was able to handle all the craziness. I was so nervous that day, but I never laughed so hard or felt more beautiful!

The time I worked with her that is most salient to me, was when she got me ready for my bridal shower. That was a particularly difficult day as my mom was admitted in the hospital and unable to attend the event which she had helped plan a day before going into the ICU. I had thought so much about cancelling the shower but decided to just go through the day. I arrived at Vera’s and basically word-vomited all my worries. And here’s where her magic comes in. While sympathizing and soothing me, she contoured my face and lined my eyes, she hugged me and curled my hair. She let me fall apart and then help put me back together. I really don’t know many makeup artists that can do this. But she can. She is special. She is magic.”

“I met Vera at my best friend’s wedding. With a loud knock on the door at 5am and her vibrant voice, she was the juice we needed to start the day. She was able to glam 10 bridesmaids by the mid-morning and she made each of us feel and look gorgeous! I’ve been in several weddings where I got my make up done, but when I had my make up done by Vera, I was in love! She enhances a person’s beauty and literally makes your face glow! Not only did she spend quality time on all of the ladies, she made us laugh! For my bridal trial, I showed her a few inspiration pictures, and with that she customized a look for me that I just couldn’t put into words myself. Being a bride in her chair, Vera makes you feel taken care of. She spends extra time on the bride and also ensures a few touch ups where she sees fit. By the end of the night, my makeup was just as beautiful as when the day started.

Vera also made my MIL and Mother feel the most beautiful they've ever felt in a long time. It warmed my heart to see my mom look at herself in the mirror with such a big smile. Vera has a special space in her heart for mamas, being a mom herself.”

She is incredibly personable, professional, and so much fun! Even at 7AM when we started all the bridal and bridesmaids makeup; she was full of energy! She gave us all energy and it felt like we were just hanging out with one of our best friends!

All the girls in my wedding party LOVED Vera’s makeup application. She is able to adjust accordingly to each girls specific skin type, i.e dry vs. sensitive vs. oily, etc! Each bridesmaid generally followed the pink glam look that was asked of me, but Vera was able to enhance each persons features with ease! She applies makeup so effortlessly and somehow it is always so relaxing and comfortable. It almost feels like she is just applying skincare the whole time.

Vera also worked on both mom’s (bride and groom’s side) and they were in complete awe. They never felt so beautiful and seeing the smiles on their faces made my day!

Not only does the makeup look AMAZING, but it is completely bulletproof! Wedding makeup itself is such a special skillset on its own; especially when it comes to longevity. BUT Vera’s makeup is able to last ALL night without a budge and it does not feel thick at all. As you go through the night, the makeup simply blends together with your natural oils and continues to looks great.

Lastly, what I love about Vera is how incredibly responsive she is. You can ask her any question at any time and she always responds in a reasonable time frame. This brought me so much peace because there was so much I was juggling with the wedding.

Being around her feels like spending time with a close friend, and I always feel a bit sad when our sessions come to an end. In terms of the makeup products she uses, I recall her using Dose of Color on me, which matched my skin perfectly. However, she has a wide range of brands/colors and can accommodate your skincare needs if you inform her in advance, which I highly recommend having a detailed conversation with her about what you're looking for, what you currently use, etc. 

In conclusion, Vera is not only a talented makeup artist but also a wonderful soul to be around. I highly recommend her services for any occasion and cannot wait to see her again.”
