My name is Vera Guernsey and I am a licensed esthetician, business owner, and your go-to for all things beauty!
I started my journey as a MAC Makeup Artist in 2007. It was there that I fell in love with makeup artistry and working with people. I was given so many opportunities within the company, working in management roles and as a part of Impact Team, an elite group of artists, chosen to work industry-level brand events. I loved my time there but I wanted to grow and expand both personally and professionally so I left the company after seven years to seek new opportunities. I worked in logistics for bio-tech and chemical companies, property management, and luxury retail sales. Although my diverse career path kept me busy, my free time was always reserved for my growing bridal makeup business. No matter what I did, I knew that makeup artistry and working closely with my own clients is where my heart always belonged.
Like so many others, I reached a crossroads during the pandemic. I was pregnant with my second child. I knew in my heart that I needed a career that gave me the opportunity to make being a mom my main priority and the flexibility of a schedule I could create myself. I wanted to do something that I was passionate about and loved. I wanted a career that allowed me to help bring happiness to others and that felt meaningful to me. I took the leap, left behind my Monday-Friday job and turned that passion into my career. I also decided to expand my skills by learning cosmetic tattoo then returned to school to obtain my esthetician license. I now work with my beloved clients giving them beautiful makeup on their most special and important occasions, creating customized facials to suit their skin needs while healing their souls, and helping them with brows to give them a little more confidence and ease in their daily routines. Connecting with others, making them feel wonderful, and helping them build their confidence brings me so much joy.
Aside from my career, I am a 30-something year old mama to my 7-year-old daughter, Penelope, and my 4-year-old son, Benjamin aka “Benny”. I have been with my loving husband for 14 years, married for 8. We also have two sweet and loyal pups, Kobe and Bleu. I love travel, cooking, making memories with my family and friends, learning new things, interior decorating, raising my plant babies, and savoring life and all its gifts! I believe that every day is an opportunity to make connections with others and the impact we leave one another is so important. Bonding with my clients is one of the most wonderful aspects of my career and one of the things I am most passionate about. In all my years of experience, I have shared laughs, tears, hugs, happy memories, sad memories, and countless special moments with so many amazing people. Each one of my clients has left a lasting impression on me and I truly believe we were brought to one another for a reason. I am eternally grateful that my craft has provided the chance to connect with others in such a deep and meaningful way. I hope that I can share my gift with you while supplying the beautiful, positive, and fun energy you deserve.
